The food was very good and the barman Sean was excellent and very attentive. The location suited us as it was close to town and very well situated for exploring the Cotswolds.
The noise coming from the floorboards in the room above was extremely annoying and disturbed our sleep every morning. We were in room 105. There were two functions at the hotel during our stay which we weren't aware of and the attendees of the second function were so noisy, rude and unbearable we had leave the hotel bar to find a more pleasant location to relax.
Nice room but situated on top of a disco which went on till 12 45am. and the fire door by our room 107 was slamming every time someone came in late into the night. not much sleep had during the night.
Cannot really comment as we arrived very late at night after a day at Cornbury music festival; not entirely sober! And left first thing in the morning feeling somewhat hung over. Everything at the hotel was fine. Room very comfortable,
Reception staff excellent Room clean and bright Three minutes from town centre
having coffee in the foyer of the hotel and one of the staff was particularly helpful
car parking facilities; inability to open window in the room
Free parking, short walk to town centre, fair sized room, all the facilities we needed
Long walk to the room through a maze of corridors, staff not all that welcoming but otherwise fine
friendly staff, excellent breakfast, pleasant location in attractive market town, convenient to the centre. Only fourteen words and you ask for a minimum of fifteen but i have nothing further to add
My trip was for business and teh room was quiet and comfortable and allowed me to do some work prior rto my meeting.
Pleasant comfortable room, quiet, easy parking,
Easy to find and closeness to centre of Banbury
Layout was poor with too many stairs up and down.
clean, comfortable, and close to Banbury town centre.
Very good central location with car parking
The bar closed at 10.30pm on Sunday, and those still drinking were turned out. Even on weekdays, the bar closes at 11pm. We had never come across a business hotel that does not cater for residents who want a late-night drink. Also, we thought the breakfast was rather expensive (£13 to £16 I think), but didn't have it so can't comment on the quality. We were looking for somewhere to bring a group of friends later on a weekend break, but will now have to try another hotel as the early bar closing at the Best Western would not go down at all well with the group! A pity, as in other respects it would have been ideal.
Clean modern facilities on site parking
The outstanding helpfulness of your reception staff - Lorraine and Lesley - who both went out of their way to help us - my husband is disabled and we found the parking and stairs difficult but they were a great help to us both.
No lift - and 40 stairs to our room (130) - 19 up and 21 down!!
I asked for a room not overlooking the road with a bath (online) and that's exactly what I received.
Thought the rate was pricey for what was on offer especially as it didn't include breakfast. The room I was in was a good size although noisy - the floor boards of the room upstairs were so squeaky it seemed like the person was in the same room as me!
